Research Fields

The SB Materials Research Institute accommodates and supports a wide range of research conducted with many state-of-the-art fabrication and characterization techniques. Research is predominantly conducted experimentally and incorporates physics, material science, electrical engineering and microelectronics and chemistry through collaborations within the institute and with external scientists. It aims at advancing organic photonics, carbon-based technologies, organic spin valves and multi-functional devices as well as addressing the underlying fundamental processes relevant for these research areas.
