Fan Yang is a principal investigator in the College of Physics of Sichuan University. He received his BC and MS degrees from Lanzhou University in 2013 and 2016, respectively. Then in the second half of 2016, he started his Ph.D. study at Imperial College London under the supervision of Prof. John Pendry. The research area during his Ph.D. is mainly about using transformation optics to study the optical response of singular plasmonic systems. In December 2019, he finished his Ph.D. study at the Imperial and finally obtained PhD degree in February 2020. From January 2020 to August 2021, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, San Diego. From September 2020 to now, he has been a principal investigator in the College of Physics of Sichuan University, mainly working on plasmonics, metamaterials, and transformation optics.
