Exploring charge dynamics and many-body interactions in graphene by
optical spectroscopy 李志强,博士,美国国家强磁场实验室
报告摘要
The broad range of new physics originated from massless Dirac
quasiparticles in graphene has generated unprecedented interest in
this material. In this talk, I will discuss our recent investigations
on charge dynamics and many-body interactions in graphene employing
optical spectroscopy. Our studies directly demonstrated the Dirac
nature of the charge carriers in graphene and revealed a
renormalization of Fermi velocity due to electron-electron
interactions. Moreover, optical measurements in high magnetic fields
provided new insights into particle-hole excitations between Landau
levels in graphene bounded by Coulomb interactions. Finally, we have
demonstrated the ability to induce a band gap in trilayer graphene and
in graphene placed on boron nitride. These studies have broad
implications in the fundamental understanding of graphene as well as
its future applications.

李志强博士现在美国国家强磁场实验室工作, 近年来一直从事石墨烯、拓扑绝缘体和过渡金属氧化物等实验凝聚态物理方面的研究. 发表论文近30篇, 其中第一作者7篇,分别发表在Nature Physics, Phys. Rev. Lett. Nano
Letters等国际顶级期刊上。应邀在美国物理学会、美国哥伦比亚大学、美国伯克利国家实验室等做邀请报告19次。
