Title: Higgs Boson Physics at the LHC
Abstract:
I will talk about the on-going Higgs Boson Physics at the CREN LargeHadron
Collider (LHC). I will briefly discuss why it is a greattriumph of the High
Energy Physics community worldwide to discover the Higgs boson at the LHC in
2012, which was first predicted in 1964. I will then tell you what we know about
this newly discovered particle, the very last piece of elementary particles
predicted by the StandardModel of elementary particle physics, thus far. I will
also tell you how we hope to probe physics beyond the Standard Model by closely
examining the interactions of this particle with other elementary particles
produced at the LHC.
